Canberra High Afternoon Music Program

The Canberra High School P & C Association coordinates a school based instrumental music tuition program, which aims to foster music appreciation within the school and to provide valuable support to the school band and music programs.

The Canberra High Afternoon Music Program - CHAMP - in partnership with Canberra Music Tuition (CMT) links self-employed music tutors with individual students or small groups.

Fees are paid per school term, lessons are $39 for 30 mins, are held on school premises from 1pm, and all tutors have a Working With Vulnerable People Card (WWVP).

Instruments Offered Are:

  • Woodwind: Flute, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Saxophone
  • Brass: Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Euphonium, Tuba
  • Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello
  • Guitar: Guitar, Bass Guitar
  • Drums
  • Voice
  • Piano / Keyboard
